iPhone ActiveSync Configuration

To setup ActiveSync on an iPhone device, complete the following steps:

  1. From the device’s Home screen select Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account > Microsoft Exchange.
  2. On the Exchange screen enter:
    • Email: Your Apptix Exchange email address
    • Server: For Exchange 2007: mobile.collaborationhost.net; For Exchange 2010: mobile.apptixemail.net
    • Domain: leave this field blank/empty
    • Username: Your Apptix user login
    • Password: Your Apptix user password
    • Description: The iPhone will default to your email address entered above
    • Use SSL: On
      • Click the [Next] button, in the upper left corner, and the iPhone/iTouch will attempt to connect to the Exchange Server.
  3. On some devices the Server: field is not displayed initially in step b. This field should be displayed after clicking [Next] in the step above. Enter the proper Server name if prompted and click [Next] again.
    • Server: For Exchange 2007: mobile.collaborationhost.net; For Exchange 2010: mobile.apptixemail.net
  4. On the next Exchange ActiveSync screen, check the items to be synchronized which typically include:
    • Mail
    • Contacts
    • Calendar
  5. Other options on this Exchange ActiveSync screen include:
    • Mail Days to Sync
    • Mail Folders to Push
