iPhone: Configure Activesync

Configuring your iPhone 3G to Sync with Apptix Hosted Exchange

1. On the Home screen, tap Settings.
   

   The Settings screen displays

2. Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
3. Tap Add Account….
4. Tap Microsoft Exchange, and enter the following account information:
• Email address
• Username
• Password
• Description
5. Tap Next.
   

   The iPhone will attempt to verify your network information, but please be aware that it may prompt you for an additional “Server” entry. For Exchange 2007 users, the server name is mobile.collaborationhost.net.

6. Choose which types of Exchange data you would like to have synched with your iPhone (email, calendars, and contacts).
7. Tap Save.
   

   Your iPhone is synched with your Apptix hosted Exchange account.

NOTE: The iPhone Auto Discovery feature is not available for Exchange 2003. If this is the case, you will need to manually enter the following ActiveSync information:

• Server address:  mobile.collaborationhost.net <this server does require an encrypted (SSL) connection>
• Username:  <the alias of the user (typically the primary email address)>
• Password:  <this should be known by the user or the user's administrator>
• Domain:  collaboration
