System Requirements For BlackBerry Exchange Hosting

BlackBerry Exchange Hosting supports all BlackBerry mobile devices manufactured by RIM. You must be a subscriber of the Apptix hosted Exchange email services to activate our BlackBerry Mobile Messaging Service, and you need to provide your own BlackBerry device and data/airtime subscription carrier service. Our customers typically purchase these plans from their chosen mobile phone carrier.


System requirements include:
  • Currently supported handhelds, including all BlackBerry devices.
  • Additional 4.1 features, such as wireless contact synchronization, require a BlackBerry device with BlackBerry handheld firmware version 4.0 or later. Apptix does not provide support or software for device firmware updates.
  • BlackBerry Exchange Hosting data/airtime subscription from a Wireless Service Provider (i.e., AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, etc.).
  • Active Apptix hosted Exchange email account.
  • BlackBerry Exchange Hosting is server-based, so your PC-environment should be irrelevant. Apptix supports both Windows-based computers (Windows 2000 or higher) and Apple PCs.
